Margaret Roberts Organic Insecticide by Kirchhoffs | 500ml

A 500ml organic contact insecticide for small sucking and crawling pests in the home garden. It contains canola oil at 478g/L and garlic extract (Allium sativum) at 478g/L. The oil smothers small insects on contact. Garlic helps discourage them from returning.

Spray so the pests are actually wet. It is not a long-distance systemic poison and it is not a fungicide. Use it on herbs, vegetables, fruit trees, leafy greens, roses, ornamentals, bulbs and cannabis. Low impact on beneficial insects at recommended rates. No secondary poisoning. Do not harvest edible plants within 24 hours. Wash food before eating. Can irritate skin and eyes; do not inhale mist. Keep away from children and animals. Be careful on sensitive plants at the highest dose. Wash the sprayer after use.

What you can use it on:

Pests listed: aphids, red spider mite / spider mites, whitefly, mealybug, rose scale and Australian bug. Several of these are also common on cannabis.

Plants: herbs, vegetables, fruit trees, leafy greens, roses, ornamentals, bulbs and cannabis.

Typical jobs: aphids on roses and greens, whitefly under tomato and squash leaves, mites on dry indoor or patio plants, mealybug in leaf joints, scale on rose stems. It will not treat powdery mildew (use the Organic Fungicide) and it will not replace the Biological Caterpillar product for chewing larvae.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Margaret Roberts Organic Insecticide 500ml?
A Kirchhoffs organic insecticide made with canola oil and garlic extract. It is used on small pests such as aphids, spider mites, whitefly, mealybug, rose scale and Australian bug. Registration number L7149 (Act 36 of 1947).
  2. Which plants can I spray it on?
Herbs, vegetables, fruit trees, leafy greens, roses, ornamentals, bulbs and cannabis.
  3. How does the canola oil and garlic formula work?
The oil suffocates small insects that are coated by the spray. Garlic helps keep them off the plant. Cover both sides of leaves. It does not kill pests it does not touch.
  4. How soon can I harvest after spraying?
Do not apply to edible plants within 24 hours of harvest. Wash produce before eating. Follow the label.
  5. Is this the same as Margaret Roberts Organic Fungicide or the Biological Caterpillar Insecticide?
No. This 500ml bottle is for small insects. The Organic Fungicide treats diseases such as mildew. The Biological Caterpillar product is Bacillus thuringiensis for leaf-eating caterpillars.
