Multisol P 2:1:2 (43) by Culterra (5kg) | Water-Soluble Root Fertiliser.
Culterra Multisol P 2:1:2 (43) is a fully water-soluble fertiliser made to push root growth first. The 2:1:2 NPK ratio plus 43% total nutrients gives plants nitrogen for green growth, extra phosphate for roots and buds, and potassium for stronger stems and better fruit quality. Chelated micronutrients are included so iron, zinc and manganese stay available to the plant.
Use it as a soil drench, foliar spray, watering-can feed, drip line or hydroponic/fertigation mix. It dissolves cleanly and is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Do not mix with lime sulphur or strongly alkaline products.
This 5kg bucket is the farm-garden size: enough for regular feeding of seedlings, pots, beds and large veg patches.
What Multisol P is for:
Phosphorus is the nutrient plants use to build roots, recover after transplanting, and start flowers. Multisol P is the “P” formula in Culterra’s Multisol range (N = leaves, P = roots/general, K = fruit and flowers). Gardeners reach for it when:
- seedlings need a first feed after germinating
- transplants look stalled after moving into beds or bags
- pots and containers have used up the compost
- flowering plants are setting buds but look weak
- fruiting crops need a balanced feed before switching to a high-K bloom formula
- leaves show pale new growth from micronutrient shortage.
It is a general plant food with a phosphate bias, not a lawn-only or tomato-only product.
Plants you can use it on:
Vegetables: tomatoes, peppers, brinjals, beans, peas, carrots, beetroot, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, onions, potatoes, baby marrow, cucumber.
Fruit and berries: strawberries, young citrus, granadilla, blueberries in pots, young fruit trees after planting.
Flowers and ornamentals: roses, petunias, pansies, dahlias, pelargoniums, fuchsias, annual beds, perennials, flowering shrubs.
Bulbs and tubers: amaryllis, daffodils, gladiolus, lilies, cannas — especially at planting and when shoots appear.
Herbs: basil, parsley, coriander, mint, rosemary in pots.
Indoor and patio plants: most potted foliage and flowering houseplants that take a complete water-soluble feed.
Trees and shrubs: newly planted or stressed specimens that need root recovery.
Systems: garden beds, grow bags, containers, drip irrigation, fertigation and many hydroponic setups that accept a complete soluble NPK + micros mix.
South African gardens use it year-round in frost-free areas. In Highveld winters, keep feeding frost-tender crops under cover and resume outdoor feeding as soil warms in spring.
Always dissolve fully in water and follow the pack rate. Water first if soil is bone dry, then apply the feed so roots are not scorched.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Culterra Multisol P 2:1:2 used for?
It is a water-soluble fertiliser high in phosphate, used to stimulate root growth, help seedlings and transplants establish, and support general plant growth, flowering and fruiting. It can be applied as a foliar spray or a soil drench. - Which plants can I feed with Multisol P 5kg?
Vegetables, herbs, flowering annuals and perennials, roses, bulbs, shrubs, young trees, strawberries and most container plants. It is a general 2:1:2 feed, not limited to one crop. - Can I use Multisol P as a foliar spray and in hydroponics?
Yes. It is fully water-soluble, so it works as a foliar feed, watering-can drench, drip fertigation or in many hydroponic systems. Do not mix it with lime sulphur or alkaline products. - What does 2:1:2 (43) mean?
2:1:2 is the NPK ratio (nitrogen : phosphorus : potassium). (43) means about 43% of the product is plant nutrients. Compared with Multisol N (leaf growth) and Multisol K (fruit and flowers), Multisol P is the root-and-general formula. - How is Multisol P different from ordinary granular fertiliser?
It dissolves in water, so nutrients are available immediately through roots or leaves. Granular fertilisers release more slowly in soil. Multisol P also includes chelated micronutrients to reduce common deficiencies such as iron yellowing.
